How do I ask the AI to plan a multi-month campaign based on my data?
Ask for the plan with the goal and the period ("a 5-month sequence to sell course X"). Before writing, the AI reads your account history and builds each phase on it: targets start from your real open rate, audiences use your tags and lists with their measured size, and the copy follows your brand voice.
Before you start:
- Role: any workspace role can ask for the plan. With the Attendant role, top-selling products do not show up in the diagnosis — the AI says what it could not read.
- For copy in your tone, the AI uses the voice tone and vocabulary saved on your brand. If your brand does not have them yet, it asks about the tone before writing.
- To use your own AI instead of Max, see Connect your AI to Clickmax (MCP).
1. State the goal, the product and the timeline
Example: "Create a 5-month sequence to move my design contacts into the UX with AI course, starting in October." If you do not name the product, the AI uses your best seller in the period and tells you which one.
2. Check the account diagnosis
The plan opens with an Account diagnosis: base size and trend, open and click rate of your email campaigns, email and WhatsApp performance versus the previous period, the relevant tags with contact counts, and the product. If a number could not be read, the plan says so, and anything not measured is labeled as an estimate.
3. Read the phases
Each phase has a theme, an audience (how to build it in Clickmax and how many contacts it has today), channels and send days, the suggested automation and targets in the form your current number → target.
Limits that apply to the plan:
- Audiences by email behavior ("opened the last 3", "clicked", "inactive for 30 days") are not segment filters yet. The AI uses contact temperature as a proxy and says so.
- WhatsApp outside the 24-hour window needs an approved template. Without a connected number or templates, the plan includes creating the templates as a step.
- A waitlist is built with a tag and an automation.
4. Ask it to build the first phase
At the end, the AI offers to create the first phase's tags, segment and automation and to write the first email in your brand voice. Nothing is created until you confirm.

If it did not work
- The diagnosis says a number could not be read: the plan goes on with what was measured. If something important is missing, check that your role has access to that area — see Permissions by role — and ask again.
- The open rate looks different from what you see elsewhere: the AI keeps the campaign rate apart from the whole-channel rate (which includes automations) and says which one it uses — ask which number it used if it is not clear.
- An audience in the plan uses a tag that does not exist: missing tags show up in the list of what still has to be created. Ask the AI to create it, or swap it for a tag you already use.
- An action was blocked by an error: see the Error codes.
