How to create a page with AI (Max Design)
To create a page with AI, open Marketing → Max Design, describe the page you want in the "Describe the page you want to create…" field and click Create with AI. The page is created right away and you keep building it by chatting with Max in the editor.
Prerequisites: be logged into the workspace with creator access. Max Design are in a testing phase and the Max Design menu item may not be visible in your workspace yet.
Create by describing the page
- In the side menu, open Marketing → Max Design.
- In the Create with AI card, write what you want in the "Describe the page you want to create…" field — for example: "capture page for a baking course, with a name and email form".
- Click Create with AI.
- The page is created with a name based on your description and the editor opens with Max already working on your request.
The initial name is generated from the first words of your description — you can rename it later.
Create a blank page
Prefer to start from scratch, without a description?
- In Marketing → Max Design, click Create blank.
- Type the Page name and click Create page.
- The editor opens empty and you chat with Max whenever you want.
Rename a page
- In the Max Design list, click the page name.
- Type the new name and press Enter (or click outside the field) to save.
Delete a page
- In the list, click the trash icon on the page card.
- Confirm by clicking Delete. Deletion cannot be undone: it closes the editing environment and removes the page files.
The editor (chat + preview)
Opening an AI page takes you to a full-screen editor:
- Max chat on the left — ask for changes in natural language ("add a testimonials section", "change the colors to match my brand"). Max edits the page's code and the preview reflects the changes.
- Live preview on the right — shows the page as it currently stands. Use the buttons to switch between desktop and mobile views, reload the preview and copy its temporary link.
- Code mode — click Code at the top to view and edit the page's files directly. Click Preview to go back to the visual view.
- Drag the divider between chat and preview to resize the areas.
When the editor opens, the page shows "Waking up…" while the editing workspace is prepared — the first time can take a few minutes. If an error appears, click Try again.
Point Max at an element
Instead of describing "that blue button in the middle", you can point at the element right in the preview:
- Click the select element button in the preview bar.
- Hover over the page — the element under the cursor is highlighted — and click the one you want to change.
- The element becomes context attached to your next chat message. Describe the change and Max edits exactly that piece. Press Esc to leave selection mode.
Edit the code directly (Code mode)
- At the top of the editor, click Code.
- In the file tree on the left, click the file you want to open — it becomes a tab above the code editor. You can open several files and switch between tabs; the X closes a tab (we ask for confirmation if there are unsaved changes).
- Make your changes. A dot next to the file name indicates unsaved changes.
- Click Save (or press Ctrl+S / Cmd+S). Each save is also recorded as a version of the page.
If Max creates new files during the conversation, use the refresh button at the top of the tree to reload the list.
Heads up: Max also edits these files while you chat with it — when both of you touch the same file, the latest saved change wins. Binary files (such as images) show up in the tree but cannot be edited in Code mode.
Page status
Each card in the list shows a status badge:
- Draft — the page has not been published yet; it only exists inside the editor.
- Published — the page has been published and is live.
