How to filter companies by CNAE, size, revenue and state
Under Contacts > My Companies, the Filters card narrows the list by state, city and size — which come from the company record — and by CNAE, sector, status, employee count, revenue and federal debt, which come from Econodata enrichment. The cut lives in the address bar, so reloading or sharing the link keeps the same list.
Before you start — workspace role Owner or Administrator, or a Member whose job title allows View on Companies (see roles and permissions). Filters built on Econodata data only reach companies that are already enriched; to bring that data in, see Connect Econodata and enrich your CRM companies.
Open the filters
- Open Contacts > My Companies.
- Click Filters to open the card.
- Pick the values. The list is rebuilt on every choice — there is no apply button.
The card starts collapsed and opens by itself when the screen loads with a filter already in force — that is what stops you reading a short list as if it were the whole base. Typing in the search box does not open it: search does not count as a filter.
Next to the title, a number shows how many filters are active.
What each filter does
The multi-select lists only offer values that exist in your workspace, so no option leads to an empty result. Each list has its own search box; while the options load it reads Loading....
Filters from different lists add up: State equal to SP together with a wholesale CNAE returns the São Paulo companies with that CNAE. Within one list the values are alternatives: two states ticked bring companies from either one.
The two numeric ranges
Employees and Annual revenue (R$) have two fields, min. and max., and you can fill in just one of them — max. 50 employees with no minimum is a valid cut. The value is applied a moment after you stop typing, so the list is not rebuilt on every keystroke.
An inverted range (minimum above maximum) is not an error: Clickmax assumes you swapped the fields and applies the range in the right order. min. 100 and max. 10 filter from 10 to 100.
Search by name or CNPJ
The Search by name or CNPJ... box, above the card, looks at the legal name, the trade name and the CNPJ at once. The CNPJ can be typed with or without punctuation: even when the company is stored as 17.948.237/0001-00, pasting the digits alone finds it — digit matching starts to apply from four digits on.
Search works alongside the filters, and it is cleared only by deleting the text: Clear filters does not touch it.
Sort the list
The Sort selector sits outside the card, because it is always in force. The options are Name (A-Z), Name (Z-A), Newest, Most employees and Highest revenue.
Two practical consequences:
- sorting does not count toward the active-filter number and is not undone by Clear filters;
- when sorting by Most employees or Highest revenue, companies without that data go to the end of the list instead of rising to the top.
The new columns and the Enriched badge
An enriched company shows the Enriched badge next to its name. That is what explains the CNAE, Employees and Revenue columns being filled on some rows and empty on others. Those three columns only show on wide screens; on smaller ones the table shows the main columns.
The five cards at the top — Total companies, Small, Medium, Large and Enriched — count the current cut, not the whole base. With a filter active, Enriched answers how many companies in that cut already have Econodata data.
The cut lives in the address bar
Filters, search, sorting and the page number all live in the screen's address. In practice:
- reloading the page keeps the same cut;
- copying the address and sending it to a teammate opens the already filtered list on their side;
- going back and forward in the browser undoes and redoes each filter change.
Changing any filter returns to page 1: without that, filtering while on page 7 of a result that now has 2 pages would leave the screen empty with no explanation.
Clear the filters
The Clear filters button appears at the bottom of the card whenever at least one filter is active, with the count in parentheses. It resets the filters and keeps the search and the sorting.
When the result comes back empty
- An Econodata filter with no results at all — those filters only reach enriched companies. Tick Enriched only to see how many companies in your base already have that data before concluding the filter is wrong.
- No companies found with many filters ticked — every list narrows the cut. Remove one filter at a time to find which one emptied the list.
