      • How do I rename an automation that is live?

      Click the pencil next to the name, at the top of the automation, and edit the title — even with the automation live. You do not need to pause it, nor duplicate the automation and swap the original out.

      Role: any member with access to the workspace.

      Steps

      1. Open the automation.
      2. At the top, click the pencil next to the name.
      3. Type the new name.
      4. Click Save, or press Enter. Clicking outside the field also saves.

      The new name shows up immediately in the automations sidebar, with no page reload.

      Why renaming is safe while the automation is live

      The name is just a label: it is not part of the automation's design. Renaming saves only the title — steps, connections and triggers are not rewritten, and contacts already inside the flow carry on normally.

      That is why renaming does not require the pause that a content edit requires.

      Where the pencil does not appear

      • Archived automations.
      • Automation templates.
      • Automations shared by another account.

      In those cases the name is visible only, with no editing.
