How to create a post, carousel or story for Instagram, Facebook and TikTok in the Studio
Open Video Studio in the side menu, click the Creative shortcut, pick a template (or Blank) and click Continue; then pick where it goes, the piece (one image or a carousel) and the brand, write what the creative should say and click Create. The editor opens with the agent already designing; when it looks right, click Download image to get the PNG or JPG at the exact size of the network.
Prerequisites:
- Create access to the Video Studio resource.
- The Studio running on your computer (see how to create a video by talking to the agent, section "Set up the Studio on your computer (first time)").
- To use your brand: a brandbook in Settings › Brandbooks. Without one, the creative uses the Studio default.
Create the creative
-
On the Studio home, click Creative (the first shortcut below the request field).
-
In the Template step, under Start from, pick Blank (the agent designs from scratch) or a ready template. There are over 100 templates for different businesses (food, beauty, health, gym, real estate, pet, courses, fashion, shop, services, automotive, law and accounting, travel) plus dates and notices that fit any business. To find yours:
- under Type of business, pick your field: its templates show up along with the ones that fit any business;
- use the goal filters (Sell, Social proof, Teach, Engage, Invite, Launch, Inspire, Announce);
- or type in Search templates (for example, "black friday", "job", "holiday").
Each card shows the preview, what the template brings, the format and, for carousels, how many pages it has.
- With a brand chosen, the template uses its colors and fonts; with No brand, it keeps the template's own palette and fonts.
- The template sets the format. Its photos are only samples: upload yours under Product photos or describe the piece, and the agent swaps texts and photos while keeping the layout. Without a request or photos, the creative starts from the template as it is, for you to change by hand.
Click Continue (or double-click the card) to go to the Settings step. The chosen template shows at the top; Change template or Back take you to the gallery again without losing what you filled in.
-
Under Where it goes, pick the network (Instagram, Facebook or TikTok). With a template, only the networks that take its format show up. Without a template, also pick the format. TikTok only shows the vertical format:
-
Under Piece (without a template), pick One image or Carousel. For a carousel, use − and + to choose 2 to 10 pages.
-
Under Brand, pick the brandbook. The workspace default brandbook comes selected; No brand uses the Studio default. The brand colors, fonts, logo and voice go into every page.
-
Under What the creative should say, describe the piece (for example, "20% off our cheese bread until Friday, with the product photo and a call to order on WhatsApp").
-
To use your own photos, click Product photos and pick From computer or From Drive. In Drive, only images from the spaces you can see show up; search by name and check the ones you want. Up to 5 images in total (up to 20 MB each). The photos show as thumbnails; the × in the corner removes one.
-
Click Create. The creative shows up in the Studio list (in All videos, the Creatives filter shows only them) and the editor opens with the agent working.
When it designs or changes a piece, the agent follows an art direction: it picks one composition (full-bleed photo, big type, discount seal, deals flyer, featured product, event poster), a font pair and a palette that fit the tone of the request, sets prices in the Brazilian style (smaller cents beside the amount) and, before replying, takes a picture of the piece and checks that it reads as a thumbnail, has a single focal point, has no words stuck together, floating products or empty gaps, and keeps no sample text; below a score of 8, it fixes it before delivering. When it changes a page, the Studio only lets the request finish after the piece passes the contrast, cut-off text and overlap check; if something fails, the agent fixes it in the same reply. On a blank creative, it starts from the gallery templates closest to your request.
In Story and Reels, the agent keeps text and logo out of the top and bottom bands, where Instagram and TikTok show the profile, the caption and the buttons. On TikTok, the bottom band is taller and there is also the right column, where the like, comment and share buttons sit. The network also changes the caption the agent writes: on TikTok, short with 3 to 5 hashtags; on Facebook, more explanatory, with few hashtags and possibly a link. The network shows next to the format, in the pages strip. In the editor, the bands show in red over the preview, and the dashed frame marks the 3:4 crop the Reels cover gets on the profile grid; More › Hide guides, in the page strip, removes the marks (they never go into the downloaded image).
Create from a reference board
On a Reference board, the Creative (output) node turns what you gathered into a post, carousel or story:
- In the board's left bar, click Creative (output).
- In the node, give it a name, pick the format (4:5, 1:1, 9:16, 1.91:1 or 16:9), how many pages (− and +), the brand, the goal and the request for the agent.
- Link the images and notes that go into the piece to the node. AI conversations, DNA and pages consulted along the path become the direction; videos and clips become references (they give the hook and the tone, not the image).
- Click Generate creative. The creative is created with the images and the brand, the agent starts working and the editor opens.
Adjust the pages
In the editor, the bottom strip shows the creative's pages, in order.
- Click a page to see it in the preview.
- Drag a thumbnail to another spot to change the order; a blue bar shows where it will land.
- Hover a page to Move left, Move right, Duplicate page or Remove page. The creative always keeps at least one page. After removing a page, the Page removed notice offers Undo for a few seconds, bringing the page back in the same spot.
- Click + Page to add a blank page at the end (up to 10).
- To change text, colors or images, ask the agent in the left column ("make the headline bigger", "swap the photo on page 2"). To change a single element, click it in the preview before asking. You can also edit by hand in the preview, as in a video.
- To change the brand, click the button with the brand name at the top of the editor and pick another one, or No brand. The change applies to every page right away, without asking the agent.
While the agent is working, the page actions are locked until the request finishes.
Apply the brand colors and fonts to an element
To change an element's color or font without asking the agent:
- Click the element in the preview (a headline, a price, a button, a shape).
- In the Design panel, on the right, the From the brand section shows up right below the element name.
- On text, pick Text to color the letters or Fill to color behind them, then click one of the brand colors. On a shape, the colors fill the background.
- On text, click Headings or Body text to use the brand font for that kind of text.
- On a shape, click Brand corners to use the brand's corner rounding.
The element stays tied to the brand: if you change the creative's brand later, it changes too. To go back, use Undo (Cmd+Z on Mac, Ctrl+Z on Windows) in the editor.
Adjust text, photo and layer without asking the agent
Right below From the brand, the Element section of the Design panel holds the fine-tuning for the selected element:
- Text: − and + to shrink or grow the size, align left, center or right, and Uppercase.
- Font: the fonts the piece already uses, to switch a text's font in one click.
- Weight, Line height and letter Spacing.
- Effects: Soft shadow, Hard shadow, Outline, Neon or Highlight (a band behind the text in the brand's accent color); None removes the effect.
- Photo (on an image): Replace photo uploads an image from your computer in place of the current one; Top, Center and Bottom pick the part of the photo that shows; the B&W, Warm, Cool, Vivid, Soft and Drama filters treat the photo, and Original brings it back.
- Layer: Forward and Backward change what sits on top, and Opacity makes the element more transparent.
- Ask the agent: on a text, Rewrite, Shorten, Punchier or 3 options (the options come in the chat, without changing the piece); on a photo, Another photo or Remove background. The request goes to the chat already scoped to the selected element.
Each adjustment shows in the editor history and comes back with Undo (Cmd+Z on Mac, Ctrl+Z on Windows). The rest of the Design panel (position, box size, animation) still edits the element by hand.
Animate the creative for Reels, Stories and TikTok
The same creative can become a video: the agent animates the layers of every page (headline, price, call to action) and the Studio exports an MP4.
- In the pages strip, click Animate.
- Under Length of each page, pick 3 s, 5 s or 8 s.
- Under Style, pick Smooth, Dynamic or Impact.
- Click Animate with the agent. The request shows up in the conversation and the agent animates the pages without changing texts, colors or layout.
- Press play in the preview to see the motion. The button now shows Animated and the length of each page.
- Click Export at the top of the editor to render the video. When it finishes, download the file, send it to Drive or click Post to Instagram to post it as a Reel (see Post to Instagram).
With an animated creative open, the Animated button also offers:
- Animate again: the agent redoes the animation in the chosen style.
- Only change the length: changes how long each page lasts without asking the agent.
- Back to a still image: the agent removes the animations and Export goes back to images.
Thumbnails, images and the review use the end of each page, when everything is already on screen.
Use the brand post kit
To stop retyping the same hashtags and signature on every post:
- Open Settings › Brandbooks and the brand.
- In the Posts section, fill in:
- Hashtag groups: named sets (for example, Default and Promotion), with the hashtags separated by spaces;
- Caption signature: the text that closes every caption, such as how to order and the address;
- Approved calls to action: up to 5, one per line;
- Banned words: comma separated.
- Click Save changes.
On creatives with that brand, the agent closes the caption with the signature, picks the call to action among the approved ones, starts from the hashtag groups and does not use the banned words. In the Caption panel, under From the brand, click a group name to add its hashtags or + Signature to put the signature at the end of the text. In the review, a banned word in the images or caption shows up as Hurts results.
Review before posting
In the page strip, click Review and then Review now. The Studio exports the pages and the AI looks at each one as someone would on a phone: cut text or text touching the edge, weak contrast, small type, text and logo in the bands the story covers, too much text on the image, brand, spelling, the call to action on the last page and whether the caption matches the images.
The review shows a score from 0 to 10 and each point with the page, how much it weighs (Not ready to post, Hurts results or Polish) and the suggested fix. Click Fix N points for the agent to fix the points that are not polish, without touching anything else. The review is saved with the creative; when the creative changes after it, a notice asks you to Review again.
Write the caption
At the top of the editor, click Caption. The post text, the hashtags and the alt text for each page are saved with the creative.
- Edit the Post text and the Hashtags and click Save. The caption takes up to 2,200 characters, the Instagram limit, and the first line is what shows before "more".
- Ask the agent writes the caption in the brand voice (or rewrites the current one), with specific hashtags and the alt text for each page.
- Copy all copies the caption and the hashtags to paste on the network.
For an ad, open Ad (Facebook and Instagram) in the same panel and fill in Primary text, Headline, Description and Button. The counter shows how much Meta displays without cutting (125, 40 and 30 characters) and is highlighted when you go over; the full text is still saved.
The carousel ZIP brings the caption in a legenda.txt file.
Adapt to another format
To have the same creative at another size (for example, the feed post also as a story):
- In the page strip, click Adapt.
- Pick the new format.
To get the feed post, the square and the story at once, click Adapt and Pack for the networks: the Studio makes a copy in each missing format and the agent adapts them one at a time; the list shows the progress and Open on each finished copy.
For a single format, the Studio makes a copy at the new size and opens the editor on it, with the agent rearranging the layers for the format, without changing the text, colors, photos or page order. The original stays as it is.
Save a creative as a template
To reuse a creative that worked (layout, images, brand and the batch variables):
- In the page strip, click More › Save as template.
- Give the template a name and click Save as template.
The template shows up first under Start from, with the Your template tag, when you create a creative. It is kept in the Studio on your computer.
Create variations for A/B testing
To run several versions of the same ad and let Meta pick the best one:
- In the page strip, click More › Variations.
- Pick 2 to 4 angles: Benefit, Pain, Social proof, Offer, Urgency or Curiosity.
- Optionally, describe the test goal under What you want to test (for example, "which call to action brings more WhatsApp orders").
- Click Create N variations.
The Studio makes a copy of the creative for each angle, with the letters A, B, C and D in the name, and the agent rewrites them one at a time: hook, headline, order of the information, caption and ad text, keeping the brand, format, pages and photos. The agent does not make up a price, deadline, number or testimonial the creative does not have; if an angle needs data that is not there, it leads with what is. Click Open next to a variation to check and download it. The original stays as it is.
Generate several at once from a spreadsheet
To make the same creative for several products, prices or cities:
- At the top of the editor, click Batch.
- The first time, click Ask the agent to make it a template. The agent marks the texts that change and replies with the name of each one (for example,
produtoandpreco). - Build the spreadsheet with one column per name and one row per creative. Copy the rows, header row first, and paste them in the Batch field (you can paste from Google Sheets, Excel or a CSV).
- Check the preview and click Generate. Each row becomes a creative, up to 50 at a time.
- Click Download all (.zip) to get the images for all of them, or Open to adjust one.
What comes from the spreadsheet goes in as text only: code pasted in a cell shows up as written, it does not run. A blank cell keeps the template's text in that field.
Download the images
- At the top of the editor, click Download image (or Download N images, for a carousel).
- Pick PNG (best quality, for posts and ads) or JPG (lighter file, for WhatsApp or email). The button shows the progress page by page.
- Click Download image, or Download carousel (.zip) when there is more than one page. The ZIP has one image per page, numbered in carousel order.
- To keep it in the Clickmax Drive, click Send to Drive. The file goes to the Cx Studio › brand name › year-month folder (for example, Cx Studio › Padaria da Ana › 2026-10), created the first time; without a brand, the middle folder is No brand. A single image goes with the caption and hashtags in a
.txtfile.
If an alert shows next to the button, hover it: it tells you when a page came out at a size different from the chosen format or went over 8 MB, the Instagram image limit. To render again after another change, click the icon next to Download.
Post to Instagram
To post straight from the Studio, without downloading and uploading on your phone:
- Connect the Instagram account in Settings → Connections (see how to connect Instagram to Clickmax).
- In the editor, click Download image and pick the format. When the pages are ready, click Post to Instagram.
- Under Account, pick the account. Check the Caption, which comes with the text and hashtags written in the creative.
- Under When, keep Post now or pick Schedule and set the date and time (from 5 minutes to 60 days from now, in your time zone).
- Click Post now or Schedule post. When posting now, View on Instagram opens the post when it finishes.
A scheduled post goes out on time even with the Studio and the computer turned off.
To follow up, click Calendar, next to the Studio list filter. The calendar shows the month with a dot on each day that has a post (scheduled ones, published ones, including Post now, and failed ones). Click a day to see its posts and a post to:
- see the status (Scheduled, Posting, Posted, Failed or Canceled), the caption, the post link and the reason when Instagram refuses it;
- on published posts, see the results Instagram measures: reach, likes, comments, saves, shares and interactions (on stories, reach, replies and interactions). The numbers can take a few hours to show up;
- on scheduled posts, change the date and time under Change date and time and Save new date, or Cancel until posting time;
- on published posts, Create similar: opens a new creative, with the same brand and format, with the agent starting from what worked in that post (hook, page structure and call to action) and new content.
When a published post turns 7 days old, Clickmax saves its results. The posts of a brand that performed best (more saves and shares first) start guiding the agent on every new creative of that brand, including the ones that come from automations. For a post to count, it needs to have been published from the Studio with the brand applied.
One page goes as a feed post; 2 to 10 pages go as a carousel, in the editor order. In the Story and Reels format, each page goes as a story, without a caption. Only the accounts you can use in the workspace show up.
In an animated creative, Post to Instagram shows up after Export renders the video. Under Publish as, pick Reel (in the feed and the Reels tab, with the caption; the cover is the first page, complete) or Story (no caption). Instagram takes longer to prepare a video than an image; if it doesn't finish in time when posting right away, try again or schedule it, since Clickmax waits longer for scheduled posts.
If Instagram refuses, the notice shows the reason it gave, for example an aspect ratio the feed does not accept or the daily posting limit per account.
