How to see where my page visitors came from
Go to Contacts → Visitors, Visitors tab. The screen lists everyone who came through your pages with tracking enabled, shows which channel brought each person (Google, Instagram, Direct…) and whether they already became a contact. Click a row to see the full journey: every visit, the landing page and what the person did there.
To see the same data summed up in cards and charts instead of person by person, use the Analytics tab — see How to see a traffic report for my pages.
Before you start
- A workspace role with CRM access.
- Your pages need tracking enabled. With no recorded visits the screen shows an empty state with a shortcut to enable it.
- A visitor only becomes a contact once they identify themselves — submitting a form, starting a checkout or similar. Before that they exist here, but not in your contact list.
Step by step
- Go to Contacts and click Visitors. The Visitors tab opens by default.
- The four cards at the top summarise the period: Visitors, New visitors, Sessions and Contacts generated.
- Click Filters to narrow the list by project, page, funnel, channel or contact — including asking about what the person did not do. See How do I filter the visitors list?.
- Use the search box to find someone specific: it accepts the visitor ID (the
vis_value in the first column, whole or just the beginning) or an exact IP address. - Click a row to open the visitor.
What the visitor screen shows
At the top: first and last seen, how many visits the person made, the source channel, the device and the linked contact (when one exists). The contact name links to their record.
Below, each visit appears as a block with:
Actions that represent an outcome — became a contact, submitted the form, purchased, booked a meeting — are highlighted in green.
How the channel is decided
The channel comes from the campaign parameters on the link (utm_source, utm_medium) and, when those are missing, from the address that brought the person.
Navigating from one of your pages to another does not count as Referral: that visit keeps the channel it started with.
From the contact back to the browsing
On a contact's record, the Capture tab of the summary shows Earlier browsing with a link to the matching visitor. It is the reverse path: the record shows what happened after the person identified themselves, and the link leads to what they did before.
The row only appears when the contact has a linked visitor — someone added by spreadsheet import or manual entry has no recorded browsing. When the same person used more than one device, the link goes to the most recent one and the number beside it says how many others exist.
First click, not last
A visitor's channel is always the one from their first visit. If someone discovered you through an Instagram ad and came back weeks later via a Google search, that person counts as Instagram — it is the channel that brought them to you. The screen states this above the list.
Each visit, inside the visitor detail, shows its own channel — so you can still see the full path even though the summary points at the first click.
Current limits
- The list covers the last 30 days by default and 180 days at most.
- The detail loads the 20 most recent visits and up to 200 actions per visit. When there are more, the screen says so under the block.
- Filtering by device is not available yet.
