Generate the QR code for a funnel step
Every funnel step with an address on the internet can become a QR code inside the builder — to take the link to printed material, a slide or a story. Whoever scans it lands on the step directly, with nothing to type.
Role: anyone with access to the funnel in the workspace can do this. See permissions.
Before you start: the QR code only exists where a link exists. It shows up on Page, A/B Test, Quiz and External Link steps, and on each link inside Traffic Sources. Message Flow, Triggers and Conditional steps have no address of their own, so they don't offer the option.
Steps
- Open the funnel in the builder.
- Generate the code from the step card:
- Page, A/B Test, Quiz or External Link — click the options menu (three-dot icon) and choose QR code.
- Traffic Sources — hover the link you want and click the QR code icon next to the copy button. Each link in the set generates its own code.
- In the Link QR code window, check the address shown under the image — that is exactly what the code opens.
- Choose how to take the code with you:
- Download PNG saves a high-resolution image, ready to print.
- Copy image puts the QR code on the clipboard to paste straight into another program.
The code keeps working afterwards
The QR code points to the step's address, not to the content inside it. You can edit and publish the page as many times as you want and the printed code keeps working.
The same holds in Traffic Sources and on an External Link with the short link enabled: because the code points to the short link, changing the destination doesn't force you to generate or reprint another QR code.

If it didn't work
- The QR code option isn't in the menu: the step has no address yet. Bind a page to the card, fill in the external link URL or pick the quiz domain, then try again.
- The icon doesn't show on a traffic source link: the link still has no destination — open it and finish the setup.
- Copy image showed an error: some browsers don't allow copying images to the clipboard. Use Download PNG and insert the saved file instead.
- The code opens an error page when scanned: the address in the window exists but isn't live yet. Publish the funnel page and scan again — the code itself doesn't change.
