  • How do I paste a screenshot into a note?

With the cursor in the note field, press Ctrl+V (on Mac, Cmd+V). The screenshot you copied is uploaded and shows up inside the note, with no need to save the file first or use the attachment field.

    Before you start

    • Where it works: in the opportunity note (when creating and when editing) and in the Notes field of tasks and meetings.
    • Role: the same as always; permissions don't change.
    • Formats: PNG, JPG, WebP or GIF, up to 10 MB.

Paste a screenshot into an opportunity note

    1. Copy the screenshot — for example, with your screen capture tool or with Copy image in the browser.
    2. Open the opportunity and click New note (or Click here to add a note…).
    3. Press Ctrl+V (or Cmd+V). While the screenshot uploads, the field shows Uploading screenshot… and the Register button is locked.
    4. Write any text you want before or after the screenshot and click Register.

In the history, the screenshot shows as a thumbnail inside the note. Click it to open the full image in a new tab. Use Preview in the field to see how it will look before registering.

To add a screenshot to an existing note, open its menu (⋮), click Edit and paste the same way — see how to edit a note.

Paste a screenshot into a task or meeting's notes

    1. Copy the screenshot.
    2. Click the Notes field — in the task or meeting panel, or in the create task window.
    3. Press Ctrl+V (or Cmd+V). Uploading screenshot… appears below the field; once it disappears, the screenshot is in the note.

In the panel, the note saves on its own like the rest of the text. In the create window, the save button waits for the screenshot to finish uploading.

    Where the screenshot is stored

Every pasted screenshot also shows up in the Drive, in the Platform › Prints de anotações folder, and counts toward the workspace storage as Creatives. There you can view, download and copy it into a folder of yours; editing and deleting only happen through the note.

    • Removed the screenshot while editing, or deleted the note, task or meeting: the screenshot leaves the folder and stops counting toward storage.
    • The old version of an edited note, under View change history, still shows the screenshot it had.

    What doesn't become a screenshot

    • Text only: still pasted as text.
    • Cells copied from Excel or Word: the content goes in as text, not as an image.
    • Files that aren't images (PDF, spreadsheet): they don't go into the note. Use the opportunity's Files field or the task attachment.
    • Notes on custom object records: don't accept pasted screenshots yet.

    If it didn't work

    • Nothing happened when pasting: click inside the field first and try again. If what you copied was text, it goes in as text.
    • Format not supported appeared: the screenshot must be PNG, JPG, WebP or GIF. iPhone screenshots in HEIC don't go in; take it again or convert to JPG.
    • The screenshot is over 10 MB appeared: crop or shrink the image and paste again.
    • Couldn't upload the screenshot appeared: check your connection and paste again.
    • There's no Ctrl+V on mobile.
