Build your first pipeline
A pipeline is the CRM board where you follow your opportunities moving through stages. By the end of this walkthrough you will have a pipeline with stages, ready to take its first opportunity.
Before you start
- Role: only Owner or Admin see the button to create a pipeline.
- Plan:
Step by step
- In the CRM menu, open Opportunities. With no pipeline in the account yet, the screen shows You don't have any pipeline yet.
- Click New pipeline. If the account already has pipelines, Opportunities opens the last one you visited; in that case, click the pipeline name to the left of the search box and choose New pipeline at the bottom of the list. See Switch pipelines without leaving the board.
- The pipeline comes with two stages already in place — New Lead and In progress. Adjust them if you like: Add Stage creates another, and the X beside a stage removes it.
- Fill in the Pipeline name.
- Click Create pipeline. The button only enables once the name is filled in and at least one stage still has a name.
- On the Pipeline created! screen, click Open pipeline.
The board opens with one column per stage. Each column starts empty. At its top sits the stage name; right below, on a second line, the sum of the values and how many opportunities it holds.
Where the pipeline settings live
The pipeline name shows in the breadcrumb at the top of the page — the board does not repeat it in a band of its own, so the columns get that screen height instead.
The gear icon on the board toolbar, just left of Create opportunity, opens a menu with everything about how the pipeline behaves and presents itself:
Each item depends on your role: Fields, Configure attendants, Automations and General settings require permission to configure the pipeline, and Export CSV only shows for whoever can export. Everyone sees Sorting.
Each column's ⋯ menu carries what belongs to that stage: Add opportunity, Import from list, Automations (the same board, opening on that stage), Enable bulk actions (the same mode as the gear) and Remove stage.
The board no longer has tabs above the columns. Attendants became the menu item above; Next actions and Scheduling became Activities, and Analytics became Insights, under Contacts & Commercial → Insights.
Add the first opportunity
To see the pipeline working, create a card:
- In a stage column, click Create opportunity.
- Choose Add opportunity and link an existing contact or a new lead. In the Contact name field you can search by name, email, or phone; each result shows the email and phone below the name, so you can tell similar contacts apart before picking one.
The card appears in the stage you chose. From there you drag it between columns as the deal moves forward.

If it didn't work
- The New pipeline button is missing: your role does not manage pipelines. See no permission.
- Creation fails with an error: check the stages and look the code up in the error codes (Portuguese).
- The board opens but you cannot add contacts: you may have reached your plan's contact limit (Portuguese).
