How to use Live Chat on mobile
On a phone, Live Chat uses the full screen width and swaps the top (Support and tabs) for an icon bar at the bottom. Everything else — filters, conversation actions, attachments — opens in panels that slide up from the bottom or in full screens.
Before you start
- Where: Support, in your phone's browser.
- Role: the same as on desktop; permissions do not change.
Bottom bar
Panels that slide up from the bottom
These open as a sheet at the bottom of the screen:
- inbox filters;
- choosing the assignee;
- conversation actions, in the ⋯ menu (includes Resolve and Reopen);
- emoji;
- attach;
- Schedule send and the Scheduled list, described in How to schedule a message.
Full screens
Favorites, Notes, Quick Replies, merging duplicate contacts and picking a template open full screen. Navigation goes from the list to the detail, and the back button returns to the previous step. The template's phone preview does not show, since the screen itself is already a phone.
Touch actions
On desktop, some actions only appear when you hover an item. On mobile they are always visible, so there is no need to hunt for them.
