Build your first members area
A members area starts from two required fields: a name and a unique subdomain. On save, the area is created with two showcases already in place and starts counting towards your plan's quota.
Before you start
- Role: anyone with workspace access can create an area — there is no role restriction.
- Plan: each area counts towards your plan's members-area quota. If you have already reached the limit, creation is blocked.
Step by step
-
Open the Members Area section in the workspace menu and start creating a new area.
-
Enter the area's name (1 to 255 characters). This is what identifies it in your list.
-
Set the subdomain. Use only lowercase letters
atozand hyphens (-), 1 to 100 characters — no numbers, spaces or accents. The subdomain must be available: if it is already in use or reserved, creation is refused. -
Save to create the area. The remaining fields (theme, accent colour, logos) are optional and come with defaults.
That's it: the area is created and starts counting towards your plan's quota. It arrives with two showcases already set up, ready to take your classrooms and content.
