How do I comment on a Max reply?
Instead of rewriting your whole request, point straight at what you want changed in a Max reply: a passage of text, a table row or a card (page, funnel, automation, offer, message…). The comment is kept and goes with your next message, saying exactly where you commented. That way Max knows what you mean and changes the right page or funnel without asking which one.
Before you start:
- It works on Max's replies inside the chat. Your own messages don't take comments.
- Max acts with your permissions: commenting on a card doesn't unlock anything your role doesn't already allow.
Comment on a passage
- Select the passage in the reply: a paragraph, a list item, table cells or text inside a card. On a phone, press and hold on the text and adjust the selection.
- Click Comment, which shows up right below the selection.
- Write what you want and press Enter (Shift+Enter adds a line break). Esc closes the field.
Selecting and copying work as before: the Comment button only shows up, it doesn't get in the way of Ctrl+C. Links and buttons in the replies also work as usual.
Comment on a whole card
- Page, funnel, automation, offer and other cards: hover over the card and click the speech-bubble icon in the corner. On a phone, the icon is always visible. The field opens right below the icon.
- Message card (WhatsApp, SMS, email): click the card. Click again to close the field without commenting. See the details in the WhatsApp template page.
With the keyboard, Tab to the card's speech-bubble icon and press Enter.
Several comments at once
You can comment on as many replies and cards as you want before sending your message. Each comment shows under what it was about (passage comments, at the end of the reply), and a Conversation chip above the message field shows the total.
When you send the next message, Max gets all of them together and handles each one: it changes the page or funnel of the commented card, rewrites the commented message or answers about the passage. After you send, the comments leave the screen.
- Remove a comment: click its X.
- Discard all: click the chip's X.
Comments only live on the screen: if you reload the page before sending your message, they are lost.
