      • Why does the quiz video start with no sound?

      Because no browser lets a video start on its own with audio — that is a Chrome, Safari and general browser rule, not a ClickMax setting. So a video with Autoplay starts muted and gets a Clique para ouvir button on top of it: the visitor taps once and the sound comes on, without the video jumping back to the start.

      You need edit access to the quiz.

      Turn on autoplay with the sound button

      1. Open the quiz and select the step that has the video.
      2. Click the video element to open the right-hand panel.
      3. Tick Autoplay (muted).
      4. Save the quiz.

      That's it: on the published page the video already starts playing, with the sound button over it.

      Change the button text

      With autoplay ticked, a Sound button text field appears right below it.

      1. Write your call to action — for example, "Tap to listen" or "Turn the sound on".
      2. Check the step preview on the canvas: the yellow tag over the video already shows the new text.
      3. Save the quiz.

      Leave the field empty and the button reads Clique para ouvir. If you publish in another language, write your audience's wording here — the default text is in Portuguese.

      The field accepts the quiz variables, so the button can repeat something the person answered earlier. Prefer questions from steps before the video: variables from later steps come out empty, because the person hasn't answered them yet.

      What the click does

      • The sound comes on at the player's full volume.
      • The video carries on from where it is — it does not restart.
      • The button disappears and does not come back during that visit. From then on the player's own controls take over (pause, volume, fullscreen).

      Remove the button

      The button only exists because of autoplay. Untick Autoplay (muted) and the video waits for the visitor to press play — with audio, and with no button on top.

      If it didn't work

      • The video doesn't start on its own: some browsers only allow autoplay once the person has already interacted with the site, and a phone's battery-saver mode blocks it entirely. In those cases the visitor sees the video paused and presses play as usual.
      • The button doesn't show up: autoplay is unticked, or the quiz wasn't saved after the change.
      • I clicked and no sound came: this works for YouTube and Vimeo links and for video files uploaded or pasted as a URL. Another video service pasted as a direct URL may not accept the command — in that case use the player's own volume control.
      • The sound goes away again on the next step: each video has its own button. A quiz with a video on more than one step asks for the sound once per video.
