  • When is a task considered overdue?

It depends on whether you set a time:

    • With a time set — the task goes overdue as soon as that time passes. A 9am task already shows as overdue at 9:01am the same day.
    • Without a time set (all-day task) — it only goes overdue when the day rolls over. An all-day task due today is not flagged during today.
    • With no due date — it is never flagged as overdue. It stays in your queue, just without a date to chase.

If the task has a start and an end (a 2pm–3pm meeting, for example), it only counts as overdue after the end. During the slot the meeting is in progress, not late.

The same rule applies everywhere overdue shows up: the badge on the opportunity board card, the counters and filters in the Service agenda, and the Tasks list. All three always agree with each other.

How long the task has been overdue

The card badge and the list row show the time elapsed since the due date, in whichever unit fits:

    • Under an hour — "40 min ago".
    • Same day — "3 h ago".
    • A day or more — "2 days ago".

An all-day task (no time set) is always counted in days, because there is no reference time to measure hours from.

The screen updates on its own

You do not need to reload the page. With the screen open, the task starts showing as overdue by itself once the time arrives — the card badge, the "Overdue" counter and the list row all flip together.

    If it did not work

    • The task should be overdue but is not: check whether you set a time. With no time it is treated as an all-day task and only goes overdue when the day rolls over.
    • The "Overdue" counter does not match the list: both use the same rule and the same scope. If they differ, check whether a filter is applied to only one of them.
    • The task does not show up anywhere: it may belong to an opportunity marked as lost. See Why did the task disappear.
