What are campaign credits and why don't they expire?
Campaign credits are a one-time pack: you pay once, the credits land in your balance, and they stay there until you use them. They do not renew monthly and they do not expire when your billing cycle turns over.
They are different from your monthly allowance, which is the amount of credits your plan releases each billing cycle and which resets to full (clearing your usage) when the invoice renews.
Which balance is used first
Monthly allowance credits are used first. Campaign credits only kick in once the month's allowance runs out.
That means if you never exceed your monthly allowance, your campaign credits sit untouched — ready for the month when the campaign is bigger.
What happens at month turnover
At turnover, only what went over the monthly allowance is deducted from your campaign balance.
Example, with a 1,000-credit monthly allowance and 500 campaign credits purchased:
- You used 800 in the month. You stayed within the allowance. The 500 campaign credits stay intact. Next month you have 1,500 available again.
- You used 1,100 in the month. You went 100 over the allowance, and those 100 came out of your campaign credits. 400 are left. Next month you have 1,400 available.
Where to see and buy them
In the Plans, Limits and Credits tab, the Credits Used card shows your monthly allowance and, when you have a campaign balance, the extras too. To buy, see buy extra message credits.
Who can buy them
Accounts with an active paid subscription. On the free plan the option does not appear.
