  • Limits and quotas

Each plan sets a numeric quota per resource. The value of each quota comes from the plan you are on. Quotas belong to the account, not to a user: everyone working in the same workspace shares the same ceiling.

You can follow usage and quotas in Settings → Plan, limits and credits. Viewing them requires access to the workspace; there is no role restriction in the quota code. Roles and permissions: see workspace roles and permissions.

    Quotas by plan

Values checked against the public plans page. Plans and quotas can change — the plans page is the current source; this table exists so you know what is counted and where a plan gets tight.

There is also a bespoke Enterprise plan, negotiated case by case.

How to read the credits: every channel draws on the same balance, so how far it goes depends on the channel you use. Growth's 5,000 monthly credits are worth 5,000 email sends or 1,000 WhatsApp conversations (24h) a month — not both.

The limits belong to the account, not the workspace. Every plan includes 1 workspace, and quotas are shared across everything you have in the account: creating another project does not extend the quota, it splits the same one.

For current pricing, check the plans page — prices change often and are not duplicated here.

    How the quota is applied

    FactDetail
Unlimited quotaSome quotas are unlimited on your plan (no ceiling).
When it runs outThe action is blocked with 402 Payment Required; the response says which limit was reached.
When you take the last slotAs you fill the last slot, the workspace gets an email warning that the limit has been reached.
When you free one upDeleting the resource gives the slot back.
Reset on renewalSome quotas reset each billing cycle; others carry over.

    What counts towards the quota

Each resource has its own identifier. It is what appears in the API responses — in the plan's quota list and in current usage — and it is how you find out which limit blocked an action.

The Recounted column shows the resources whose total is recalculated from the real records before blocking: if the counter has drifted, it corrects itself at that moment.

For each resource, the API reports the plan's limit, how much has been used, how much is left and whether the quota is unlimited. An unlimited quota comes back as isUnlimited: true and with no limit value.

    What consumes credits

Messages and transcriptions consume credits. Every channel draws on the same balance, so how far it goes depends on which channels you use — see the comparison in quotas by plan. The cost varies by type of send.

    Type of sendIdentifierWhen it happens
WhatsApp — Marketingmessages_whatsapp_marketingA promotional message started by you
WhatsApp — Utilitymessages_whatsapp_utilityA transactional notice, such as a purchase confirmation
    WhatsApp — Authenticationmessages_whatsapp_authenticationSending a verification code
WhatsApp — Servicemessages_whatsapp_serviceA reply inside the window opened by the customer
    Emailmessages_emailEach email sent
    SMSsmsEach SMS sent
    InstagraminstagramEach message sent through Instagram
    VoicevoiceEach automated call placed
Call transcriptionlivechat_transcriptionTranscription of a live call

The four WhatsApp conversation categories are defined by Meta, not by Clickmax, and cost different amounts.

Without enough balance the send is stopped with an insufficient credits warning.

    Upload limits

The maximum file size does not depend on your plan — it is fixed per type of upload. See file upload limits.

    If it didn't work

    • An action was refused with 402 Payment Required: that metric's quota has run out — see error codes and messages.
    • You cannot see or change the plan and quotas: see no permission.
    • Your WhatsApp sends are being limited for reasons other than the plan quota: it is Meta's limit — see why Meta limited my sends.
