How do I prepare a launch with the cart opening and closing?
A launch has three moments, and each one needs a different setup: before (capture and warm-up), during (cart open, with real urgency) and after (cart closed, with no orphan page left online).
Before you start
- Role: Owner, Admin or Editor.
- Have the offer ready and receiving enabled before the opening date.
- Decide the exact opening and closing dates before you build — they become configuration in several places.
1. Capture the list before you open
Build a capture funnel with a form and send everyone who signs up to a list. That list is the audience for the launch.
Mark the sign-ups with a launch tag — later you will want to separate the people who joined this intake from the ones who were already in your database.
2. Warm them up with an automation
Create an automation that fires the warm-up sequence from the sign-up. The step by step for your first one is in your first automation; the full design of the sequence is in email nurture sequence.
3. Open the cart
On the opening date, publish the sales page with the checkout connected and tell the list with a broadcast.
For the urgency to be genuine, run the countdown against the real closing date. A counter that restarts on every visit teaches your audience not to trust the deadline.
4. Close the cart without loose ends
Closing is not just stopping the promotion. On the closing date:
- Disable the funnel — anyone arriving through the old link no longer sees the offer. The step by step is in the FAQ on activating or deactivating a funnel (Portuguese).
- Decide where that traffic goes, under Funnel Settings → Redirects → Funnel ended. With no destination configured, the visitor sees an error page.
- End the automation sequence so you are not still sending "final hours" messages after the deadline.
5. Work the people who did not buy
Anyone who joined the list and did not buy is the most qualified audience you have for the next window. Separate them into a segment and see re-engage inactive contacts.
For the people who reached the checkout and did not finish, see abandoned cart recovery.
