How does the pixel receive a conversation, a call or an email link click?
In the pixel form, check the option Receive events that do not happen on a screen. Some facts about your business count as conversions and happen on no page at all — there is no funnel, product or form to pick the pixel inside — so this mark is what says who receives those events.
Before you start
- Role: Owner, Admin or Editor.
- The pixel registered under Traffic › Pixel and tracking — see add a pixel and choose its events.
1. What these events are
None of them belongs to a funnel, a page or a product. That is why they do not show up in any screen's pixel picker: there is no screen where the choice would fit.
2. Turn the mark on
- Go to Traffic › Pixel and tracking.
- Click Add pixel, or open Edit on the row of a pixel that already exists.
- On the Details step, check Receive events that do not happen on a screen.
- Save.
Under View details, the pixel shows Events without a screen: Receiving or Not receiving, and the bindings list gains a row explaining that those events reach it. That row has no remove button — it is not a screen choice, and it is turned off in the form itself. See where is this pixel being used.
3. If you already used a pixel, you need to do nothing
Pixels that came from the old setup were born with the mark on: the events that used to arrive keep arriving, with no change from you.
A new pixel is born with the mark off. If you want it to receive conversations, calls, email link clicks and capture-link leads, turn it on in the form.
4. Mark few pixels, and on purpose
These events belong to no screen, so they go to every pixel that has the mark on. If you keep one pixel per project or per client, turning the mark on everywhere makes one client's conversation show up in another one's ad account.
A good rule: turn the mark on for the pixel of the business that actually answers on WhatsApp, phone and email, and leave the others without it.
The pipeline stage event uses the same mark
Moving a card between pipeline stages in the CRM also happens on no page: it is a milestone of your sales work. That is why the event configured on a stage goes to the Meta pixels that are active and have this mark on — not to every pixel in the account.
If you configured the event on a stage and nothing arrives, start here: check whether any active Meta pixel has Receive events that do not happen on a screen turned on. The details of that case are in how do I send a conversion when a contact enters a stage.

If it didn't work
- You looked for these events in a funnel's or page's pixel picker: they are not there, and they will not be. These facts have no page and no funnel, so they do not show up in any screen picker.
- The event arrives and you did not want it: turn the mark off on the pixel where it should not count.
- The email link click generates nothing: only the click counts. Opening the email is not a sign of interest and does not become a conversion.
- The conversation shows up twice: look for the same event in a Google Tag Manager tag, or for a redirect link inside the email with the same event chosen — see pixel on a redirect link.
- The contact event from a click on a page does not arrive: that is a different path, and it depends on the pixel picked on that page. See how does the pixel record who messages me on WhatsApp.
