  • How do I track how my affiliates are performing?

Affiliate programmes always follow the same pattern: a handful of affiliates produce almost all the revenue and most sell nothing at all. Tracking exists to tell you which is which — so you can treat each group differently.

    Before you start

    1. Look at who is selling

In Affiliates, open My Affiliates and sort the list by Total sold. That puts the small group carrying the whole programme at the top straight away.

    2. Split them into groups

    GroupWhat to do
Selling consistentlyBetter terms, exclusive material, direct contact
Sold once and stoppedFind out what blocked them — usually material or an unanswered question
Signed up and never soldActivation: one nudge, or nothing at all

    3. Follow the commissions

Check what has been generated in commission against what has already been paid out — the summary cards show Total Affiliates, Total sales value and Amount paid in commissions for the Last 30 days. A late or incorrect commission destroys an affiliate's trust faster than anything else, and an unhappy affiliate talks to the others.

    4. See where the sales come from

Cross-reference affiliate performance with Sales. Volume is not the only thing that matters — an affiliate bringing plenty of sales alongside plenty of refunds may be promising what the product does not deliver.

    5. Act on what you saw

    • The strong sellers deserve personal attention.
    • The ones who stopped deserve a direct question.
    • If almost nobody sells, the affiliates are not the problem — the material or the offer is. See shared package for producers.

    If it didn't work

    • Sales are not showing as attributed: the affiliate may be promoting a link without their own identifier in it.
    • An affiliate says a commission never arrived: check their seller registration and the status of the payout.
    • Lots of refunds coming from one affiliate: review what they are promising in their promotion.
