  • How do I build a members area from scratch?

Delivering content is the minimum. A complete members area also retains: it gives the student a reason to come back, somewhere to talk and a route to buy again.

    Before you start

    • Role: Owner or Admin to create portals; Editor edits content.
    • How many areas you can have is capped by your plan — see the limits and quotas reference (Portuguese).
    • Start with delivery already working: deliver in the members area.

    1. The portal

Create the area and set its name and visual identity. This is the environment the student associates with your brand — see build your first members area.

    2. The content

Structure it into modules and lessons (modules and lessons). A clear order stops the student getting stuck right at the beginning, which is when most people give up.

    3. The community

The space to talk is what turns a course into an environment. It also cuts support: students answer each other.

An empty community, though, makes a poor impression. Only open it once there are enough people, or when you are willing to keep it alive yourself at the start.

    4. Banners and showcase

Banners highlight what matters right now — a new classroom, a notice, a deadline. The Showcase puts your other products in front of people who are already students, the audience most likely to buy again.

    5. Calendar

If your delivery has dates — live lessons, meetings, deadlines — the student's Calendar stops the "when is it?" question reaching support.

    6. Classrooms

If you deliver by classroom, each with its own start date and its own pace, organise students by Classroom instead of mixing everyone into the same environment.

    7. Track consumption

A student who never logs in is a refund candidate and will not buy again. Track who is not showing up and handle it with a re-engagement automation.

    If it didn't work

    • The student cannot find the content: review the order of the modules and what appears on first sign-in.
    • The community is not engaging: start with a few topics and an active presence of your own.
    • You cannot create another area: see the limits and quotas reference (Portuguese).
