  • Why ClickMax asked me where I want to start

Because ClickMax cannot guess what you want to do first. So it asks, and each option takes you straight to where that thing gets created — instead of leaving you hunting for a starting point.

If the ad that brought you in talked about who you are — an agency, a designer, a small business — the paths come tailored to that. If you arrived some other way (a referral, a search, a direct link), the question is the same, with the options that work best as a first step.

People who arrive through an ad for one specific feature (funnel, CRM, page, members area) never see this screen: there, the path is already decided. WhatsApp is the exception, with a version of its own — it starts by connecting your number.

    Before you start

    • Role: only the person who created the account. Accounts invited purely for support do not go through this.
    • The screen appears after the two first-access questions, never alongside them.
    • Nothing you pick here changes your plan, your limits or what you can do on the platform. It is a shortcut, not a setting.

    What each case shows

    How you arrivedThe questionThe paths
Not through a profile adWhat would you like to do first?Build a funnel · Create a page · Connect WhatsApp · Organise your sales · Automate follow-ups · Deliver a course
Ad for agenciesWhat do you want to build for your client?Funnel · Pages · Automation · WhatsApp · CRM · Members area · Scheduling
Ad for designersWhat do you want to improve in your client's experience?Build a page · Test versions · Personalise the journey · Automate communication
Ad for small businessesThree questions about your business, then: where do you want to start?Build a page · Find out who is a good client · Talk on WhatsApp · Fill your calendar
WhatsApp adConnect your number, then: what do you want to do with your WhatsApp?Support · Automation · Sales · Multiple numbers

Clicking a path immediately opens the creation flow for that item — the same one you would reach from the sidebar. The screen closes itself at that point.

Test versions opens funnel creation. An A/B test is built inside a funnel, comparing two versions of the same page, so it needs a funnel to exist first.

Connecting your number, on the WhatsApp ad

If you arrived through a WhatsApp ad, the first screen asks you to connect your number to the official API — the four paths come after that, because every one of them needs a connected number.

You can see the paths before connecting: use See what I can do. And if your account already has a number — even one whose connection is still in progress — that screen steps aside on its own and you go straight to the paths.

The three questions for small businesses

If you arrived through an ad for small businesses, ClickMax asks what your company sells, who your ideal client is, and what you want to find out before putting someone on your sales rep's calendar.

None of them are required and there is a Skip button. The answers are stored on your account and help ClickMax build better suggestions later on — they do not change the paths offered now, and they never appear on your pages, checkouts or to your contacts.

Closing it and opening it again

Close it with the X in the corner or the Esc key. Clicking outside does not close it, so you cannot lose the screen to a stray click. ClickMax remembers that you closed it, so it will not come back on its own at your next sign-in — not even in another browser or on your phone.

To open it again, click More options at the bottom of the sidebar and pick Where to start. The shortcut stays available permanently, even after you close the screen.
